REP RECOVERY
Closed beta coming soon
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Rep Recovery handles information in the Rep Recovery mobile app, during closed-beta participation, and through this website. It is intended to provide the disclosures required for distribution through Google Play and to give users a clear way to ask privacy questions or request deletion of data held by Rep Recovery.
1. Scope and beta status
Rep Recovery is a fitness and workout-planning application currently preparing for a closed beta. The app uses information you record about your training to provide workout-planning tools, muscle-recovery estimates, training history, and progress views.
This policy covers information handled by Rep Recovery through the app and information you voluntarily submit through this website. Google Play, Android, your device manufacturer, and other third-party services may separately process information under their own privacy policies.
2. Information Rep Recovery may handle
The exact information depends on the features you use and what you choose to enter. Categories may include:
- Training and workout data: workouts, exercises, sets, repetitions, weight used, workout duration, training history, muscle groups trained, and training volume.
- Recovery and performance information: muscle-recovery estimates, readiness status, estimated strength trends, and other values calculated from information you record.
- Profile and training preferences: experience level, training goal, equipment availability, training location or setup, and other app preferences.
- Body metrics you choose to record: weigh-ins and body-fat entries.
- Injury or limitation information you choose to record: affected muscle group, timing, and notes entered for injury-mode or training-limitation features.
- Privacy, support, and beta communications: your email address, name if provided, request type, and message when you submit a form or contact Rep Recovery.
- Basic website technical data: hosting providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser/device information, and security logs needed to deliver and protect the website.
3. How information is used
Rep Recovery uses information for purposes directly related to the app and beta program, including to:
- record and display workouts and progress;
- calculate muscle-recovery and readiness estimates;
- generate or adapt workout suggestions based on training context and preferences;
- provide warnings, substitutions, and injury-related planning safeguards;
- maintain user-selected app settings and preferences;
- respond to privacy, data-deletion, support, and beta-feedback requests;
- diagnose technical issues, maintain security, and improve the beta experience.
Rep Recovery does not use health or fitness information to provide a medical diagnosis or treatment.
4. Data sharing and service providers
Rep Recovery does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers only when needed to operate, distribute, secure, or support the app and website.
Google Play and Android
Google Play distributes the Android app and may process account, device, diagnostic, purchase, or security information independently under Google’s terms and privacy policies. Those Google-controlled practices are separate from Rep Recovery’s handling of information inside the app.
Website hosting and forms
This website is packaged for hosting on Netlify. When the site is deployed there, Netlify may process normal hosting/security logs and information submitted through the privacy-request form so the request can be delivered to Rep Recovery.
Legal and safety disclosures
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforce applicable terms, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect the rights and safety of users or others.
5. Data handling and security
Rep Recovery is designed to limit information handling to what is reasonably necessary for app functionality and beta support. App information may be stored locally on your device. Information submitted through a hosted web form is transmitted to the hosting provider when you submit it.
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information under Rep Recovery’s control. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields.
6. Retention
Information stored locally by the app remains on the device until it is removed through available app controls, Android app-storage controls, device reset, or uninstallation, subject to any device-level backup behavior outside Rep Recovery’s control.
Information submitted directly to Rep Recovery for beta support, privacy inquiries, or deletion requests is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, administer the beta, maintain security records, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
7. Data deletion and privacy requests
You may request deletion of personal information held by Rep Recovery, ask what information is held about you, or submit another privacy inquiry using the form below. This web pathway is available even if you no longer have access to the app.
For information stored only on your device, Rep Recovery may not have a server-side copy to delete. In that case, deletion can generally be completed by using available in-app deletion/reset controls, clearing the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the app. If Rep Recovery holds information associated with your beta participation or a support/privacy request, a deletion request will be processed subject to any limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
8. Health and fitness disclaimer
Rep Recovery is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Muscle-recovery, readiness, strength, progress, injury-mode, and workout-planning information are estimates and fitness-planning tools based on information you record. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for professional judgment.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and before beginning or changing an exercise program if you have an injury, medical condition, concerning symptoms, or other health-related question. Stop exercising and seek appropriate medical attention if you experience symptoms that may require care.
9. Your choices
You decide what optional profile, body-metric, and injury/limitation information to enter. You may choose not to use features that require particular inputs. You may also remove local app data using the methods described above and may submit a privacy request for information held by Rep Recovery.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the closed beta develops, including if Rep Recovery adds cloud synchronization, account creation, analytics, subscriptions, additional SDKs, or other data practices. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
